Horizon Utilities presents $1.6 million saveONenergy incentive for CityHousing Hamilton conservation efforts

CityHousing Hamilton undertook several energy retrofit projects across eight of its multifamily buildings. The efforts included new air handling units, solar air heating, insulation and efficient lighting. Learn more

Foodland partnership saves over 53,000 kWh per year

Horizon Utilities was pleased to recognize the efforts of Mount Albion Foodland for undertaking a lighting retrofit initiative that will save an estimated 53,121 kWh per year. By replacing outdated incandescent lighting with new LED refrigerator strip lighting and ceiling LED Troffers, the local grocery store qualified for a $22,840.00 saveONenergy RETROFIT incentive. Horizon Utilities partnership with National Steel Car saves more than 2 million kWh per year

Horizon Utilities’ conservation and demand management (CDM) teams worked with National Steel Car (the only producer of railroad cars in Canada) to save an estimated 2,192,400 kWh per year through a $247,000 saveONenergy Retrofit incentive. Learn more
