Extension Cords

  • Never force the issue – If it doesn’t fit, try reversing the blades.
  • Never cut off the third prong.
  • An octopus belongs in the ocean not in your living room. Avoid overloading and overheating extension cords by first checking the electrical capacity.
  • Place cords out of traffic areas. Cords should never be stapled to the wall, baseboard, or to another object. They should not have any furniture resting on them.
