PowerWise® is the flagship
conservation program for Horizon Utilities Corporation and five of
Ontario’s other major Local Electricity Distributors.
Why are we involved?
The provincial government is sending
a signal to consumers to conserve electricity with Ontario’s
two-tier energy pricing system that came into effect on April 1,
2004 and is re-adjusted yearly.
Electricity conservation translates
into lower electricity bills. Now more than ever Horizon Utilities
Corporation is committed to helping you develop good habits to
conserve electricity – Ideas you can use right now.
Things that will make a difference. We'll deliver these ideas
through Horizon Utilities Corporation.
We are also planning powerWISE®
programs to help our residential, business, and industrial
customers better manage their electricity usage.
Why not let us know what works for
you and what doesn't? We'll add it to "Our Customers
Suggest" section. Conservation will benefit us all. Let's
start the dialogue now!
The Conservation section of our
website contains general information about energy conservation as
well as specific information on programs happening in Hamilton and
