Due to the potential of serious injury or death occurring if an underground cable is accidentally severed, the Ontario Occupational Health
and Safety Act requires that you locate underground cables
before you dig.
Before you dig, drill, blast, auger or drive stakes (including
fence post spikes) into the ground, Call
Ontario One Call for
information about free underground utility locations.
Ontario One Call notifies all its members
who may have underground facilities near or at the proposed
dig. They’ll arrange for free field locates, where appropriate.
And don't forget to call other utilities and agencies which
are not members of Ontario
One Call.
Please call at least two working days before
you are scheduled to start your work. Additional notice may
be required during the busy spring season
Prevent costly repairs due to accidental
dig-ins.
Maybe even save your life.
Never assume you know the location or depth
of a cable.
